| I. OBJECTIVES |
| |
- This course aims at familiarizing the student with how
the Qur'aan was compiled, the efforts of the leading scholars
in that regard.
- It is also the aim of this course to clarify the way in
which the Qur'aan was revealed, the reasons for the revelation
of its verses and its role in understanding the Qur'anic
texts.
- The course also addresses the definition of the Makkan
and Madeenan Revelations and their distinction, as well
as the abrogation of verses and its impact on legislation
